Service Terms for Newark, New Jersey

What General Pest Control Covers
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to General Pest Control services that NewJersey Pest Solutions agrees to provide at the property. The service and any included pests, treatment areas, preparation steps, and follow-up visits will be described in the estimate or service agreement.
Work outside that description, including specialized treatments, exclusion repairs, extensive cleanouts, or treatment of a pest not included in the agreement, requires separate approval and may require a separate agreement. We will not treat a property or area outside the agreed scope without your authorization.
Pesticide work is performed by appropriately licensed applicators and in accordance with the New Jersey Pesticide Control Act, N.J.S.A. 13:1F, applicable licensing rules at N.J.A.C.
7:30, the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, and EPA-approved label directions and restrictions. Pesticides and related waste are handled under applicable federal and New Jersey requirements, including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act rules and state container-disposal requirements.
Relevant guidance or requirements may come from the EPA, NJDEP, NJ Department of Agriculture, NJ Department of Health, and, where applicable, Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness.
Booking, Changing, or Canceling a Visit
Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another method offered by NewJersey Pest Solutions. We will confirm the service date or arrival window and any access or preparation instructions available for the visit. Please make sure an adult authorized to approve the work can provide access and discuss conditions at the property.
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, contact us as early as reasonably possible using the contact details below. Any cancellation fee or notice requirement will apply only if it was disclosed in your estimate or service agreement.
We may need to reschedule because of weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other conditions that prevent proper service; we will contact you to arrange another time. If inspection reveals that the requested work differs from the agreed scope, we will explain the change and seek your approval before proceeding with additional work or charges. A schedule change does not itself authorize a change in treatment or price.
Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment
An estimate describes the work and price proposed based on the information available when it is prepared. Conditions may change or become clearer after inspection. The estimate or service agreement will identify the covered service, any stated limits, and when payment is due. No price or service is final until you approve the applicable estimate or agreement.
Please pay using the methods and by the due date stated in your approved documents or invoice. If you have a question about a charge, contact us promptly so we can review it.
Work that falls outside the approved scope, or a material change in the property conditions that affects the proposed work, will be discussed with you before additional work is performed. We will provide any revised price or scope for approval; you may decline the added work, though that may limit what can be completed during the visit.
These terms do not set prices, financing, or payment options not stated in your estimate or agreement.
What to Expect About Service Coverage
NewJersey Pest Solutions does not state a standard workmanship warranty duration or general guarantee in these terms. Any warranty, retreatment commitment, or other service coverage applies only if it is expressly described in writing in your estimate or service agreement. Review that document for the covered pest, property areas, duration, required follow-up, and any conditions that apply.
Coverage may depend on your completing stated preparation steps, providing access, and following written safety or service instructions. A change in pest activity, conditions that were not part of the agreed service, or a request to address a different pest may require a new inspection or separate agreement.
Do not assume that one service includes continuing visits or treatment of every pest. Contact us if you believe work did not match the written scope so we can review the agreement and the circumstances.
Nothing in this section creates a warranty that was not expressly provided in writing or removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
Daniel Mercer
Service Expert at NewJersey Pest Solutions
I started in pest control in Newark, where older rowhouses, shared walls, and basement entry points taught me to look beyond the first sign of pests. I built this company to give New Jersey homeowners clear inspections and practical treatment plans shaped by the state's changing seasons and licensing requirements.
Responsibility and Legal Limits
To the extent permitted by law, NewJersey Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim arising from a service will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim. We are not responsible for pre-existing property damage, concealed conditions, or loss caused by circumstances outside the agreed work, except where applicable law requires otherwise. These terms do not exclude liability for conduct that cannot legally be limited, nor do they take away any rights or remedies provided by law.
Pesticide services must follow the New Jersey Pesticide Control Act, N.J.S.A. 13:1F, applicator licensing requirements under N.J.A.C.
7:30, the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, and applicable EPA label directions and use restrictions. Applicable hazardous-waste and pesticide-container handling requirements, including Resource Conservation and Recovery Act rules and New Jersey disposal requirements, remain in effect.
Nothing here changes those legal duties or makes a customer responsible for a violation by the company or its applicator.
Questions About These Service Terms

We may revise these terms as our practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be made available with the relevant service information or provided to customers when applicable.
